College Honors Scholars and Their Donors

Feb 26, 2015

Students and the donors who helped make their education possible will be honored at the College of Geosciences' annual donor recognition and scholarship dinner, Friday, March 27, in the Jon L. Hagler Center.

"This event celebrates both our donors, who have so generously given, and the students who have worked hard for their education," said Kate C. Miller, dean.

The college annually gives almost 200 scholarships and fellowships. Although the primary aim of the dinner is to give the young scholars a chance to meet and thank their donors, it also gives the college the opportunity to celebrate scholarship and individual achievements, said Cara Milligan, senior director for development.

In addition to remarks from Miller and Milligan, guests will view a presentations of students' activities in the field, in the classroom and in the lab as well as a special video thanking the donors.

Reservations for faculty, staff, students and donors can be made at geosciences.tamu.edu/scholarshipdinner. For questions or more information, please contact the event coordinator, Rachel Rodriguez at 979-845-3651 or rrodriguez@tamu.edu
